The Indian Railway and the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) have teamed up to introduce the ‘One India – One Ticket’ initiative. This collaboration aims to enhance the travel experience for passengers on mainline railway and Namo Bharat trains. Currently operational on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, the RRTS trains are now included in this initiative, enabling seamless travel for passengers.
Passengers booking an IRCTC train e-ticket now have the option to add Namo Bharat train tickets for up to 8 travelers per booking. This feature is easily accessible during the booking process, appearing on the PNR confirmation page and in the user’s booking history. The initiative not only streamlines the booking process but also offers greater flexibility and convenience to passengers traveling on both Indian Railways and RRTS services.
IRCTC Collaborates with NCRTC for Seamless Travel Experience
In a strategic move to enhance the travel experience for passengers, IRCTC has recently partnered with NCRTC to introduce a new ticketing system. Building on the success of the ‘One India-One Ticket’ initiative with Delhi Metro, this collaboration now extends to the RRTS trains operating on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor.
Effortless Ticket Booking Process
Passengers can now conveniently book tickets for both IRCTC and RRTS trains through a unified platform. Whether it is for daily commuting or combined travel with Indian Railways, this integrated ticketing system offers a seamless booking experience. The tickets will feature QR codes that remain valid for Namo Bharat trains for up to 4 days, providing flexibility and convenience to travelers.

Enhanced Booking Options
According to The Times of India, passengers can reserve an IRCTC train e-ticket and include Namo Bharat train tickets for up to eight travelers in a single booking. This added feature simplifies the booking process, allowing users to generate unique QR codes for each RRTS ticket. These codes can be easily printed on electronic reservation slips, streamlining the travel documentation process.
Advanced Booking Window
Aligning with the existing Railway reservation window, passengers can now book RRTS tickets up to 120 days in advance through IRCTC. The QR codes associated with these tickets remain valid for four days, covering the period from a day before the journey date, the travel date, and two days post-journey. Each passenger on the main train ticket will receive a dedicated Namo Bharat ticket with a unique QR code, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience.
Seamless Confirmation Process
Upon successful booking of Namo Bharat tickets, users will receive confirmation via SMS and email. The details of the unique RRTS QR code will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address, providing passengers with all the necessary information for a smooth and efficient journey.
