Akshay Kumar seems to have found Mr Right for Khel Khel Mein co-star Vaani Kapoor. However, he adds that he doesn’t want to give marriage tips to anyone.
Akshay Kumar’s upcoming release Khel Khel Mein is reportedly a remake of the 2016 Italian comedy-drama Perfect Strangers. The film revolves around seven friends whose dark secrets and phony lies are exposed when they decide to play a game involving their phones. This leads to the severing of marital bonds and friendships, while also making an important statement about how sometimes your closest confidantes can be masked strangers.
In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Akshay reveals how he would react if his wife, Twinkle Khanna, were to read his personal messages. “I wouldn’t be scared if I had to show my phone to my partner. My phone lies around with my staff members. At home, it’s always lying around, charging. I’ve got nothing to hide,” the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and OMG 2 star tells us.
However, he quips that it could still make for an interesting game. “This game will be more fun than an outdoor game because outdoor games don’t give you the same kind of adrenaline rush. A phone game requires mental effort. You’ve got to be constantly on your toes, thinking about what to do next if your partner or friends have read your personal messages,” Akshay remarks.

Khel Khel Mein revolves around relationships and explores the stories of three married couples at different stages and circumstances in their lives. Akshay plays the role of a middle-aged man who, despite being the glue among them, is going through a rocky marriage himself. When asked if he would like to offer any tips on marriage, he says, “I don’t want to give any tips to anyone. Everyone should learn through their own experiences in life. But marriage is a beautiful circle of life.”

The actor, who was last seen in Sarfira, continues, “Everyone needs to go through it and gain an understanding of it rather than looking up to me or anyone else for advice. My experiences won’t matter to someone else because everyone has their own mindset and temperament. So, it’s better to go through the grind, learn from your own mistakes, and move forward in your relationship.”
However, Akshay, known for his witty sense of humor, is ready to turn into a wingman for his Khel Khel Mein co-star Vaani Kapoor. Turning to her and teasing, he says, “I have someone in mind for you. If I bring him to you, will you marry him? Woh tera khoon nahi karega, but bahot sukoon dega (laughs). I can guarantee you that he will bring you a lot of peace. But you’ve got to marry him. You can’t say you need to meet him first or connect with him!”
Khel Khel Mein also stars Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, and Pragya Jaiswal. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is set for a box office clash with John Abraham and Sharvari’s Vedaa and Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 on August 15.
