A video surfaced on the internet is showing a courageous Police from Bangalore, chasing & nabbing a criminal wanted in 40 cases.
Thrilling CCTV footage of the cop chasing a scooter went viral on the internet. The video is from Sadashiva Nagar in Bangalore as claimed by various media reports. Policeman captured a suspect, who was wanted in over 40 cases at a busy junction during peak-hour traffic in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

Policeman Chase Criminal’s Scooter
Dodda Lingaiah, is a constable at the Koratagere police station was standing at the signal and the suspect, Manjesh, also known as Hotte Manja, was waiting at the traffic signal on his white scooter. In CCTV footage, you can see that police constable Dodda Lingaiah, was not wearing a police uniform but was in casual attire, as soon as he saw the criminal wanted in various cases, he started chasing him. The criminal was on white colour scooter, started riding his bike as fast as possible in an attempt to run.

The criminal named Manja attempted to flee, but a Police constable ran behind him and grabbed onto the scooter and Constable was dragged several meters as the suspect tried to flee. Other Traffic police personnel at traffic signals from Bengaluru were completely unaware of the incident, but ran away behind them & helped a policeman to grab the criminal. Even a few passersby stopped their vehicles & beat up the criminal as can be seen in the video footage.

Criminal Manja In Police Custody
According to the Deccan Herald report, Manja was then taken into custody. A police officer from Tumakuru told them that Manja had been involved in thefts across multiple districts in the state and had been on the police radar for some time.
“Four cases against Manja were pending at the Koratagere police station,” the officer told DC & added that it was nearly a month of planning by Lingaiah & Bengaluru police’s Command Centre to track the suspect.
Lingaiah has been serving at the Koratagere police station for the past five years & he had earlier worked with the Indian Army Corps of Signals.
