Brazilian regional airline VOEPASS confirmed an accident involving Flight 2283-PS-VPB in the Vinhedo region of São Paulo state. The aircraft, en route from Cascavel to Guarulhos Airport, had 58 passengers and 4 crew members on board.
Video shared on social media showed what appeared to be the plane plunging down into a cluster of trees, followed by a large plume of black smoke.
The airline said it has implemented measures to assist those affected, but details regarding the cause of the accident or the condition of those on board remain unconfirmed.
