The IMD has issued orange alerts for heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, and Meghalaya.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced in its latest morning bulletin that extensive rainfall is expected across Northeast India, the Western Himalayan Region, and East India over the next seven days. In contrast, Southern India is forecasted to experience lower-intensity rains in the coming week.

IMD issues orange alert for five states
The IMD has issued orange alerts for heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, and Meghalaya.
Northwest India to have heavy rainfall
Isolated very heavy rainfall is forecast for Uttarakhand from August 10 to August 14, Himachal Pradesh will get it on August 10. Moreover, an isolated heavy downpour is predicted for East Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh from August 9 to August 14. A similar weather pattern will be observed over Chandigarh and Haryana on July 9, and Uttar Pradesh will get it from August 9 to August 12. From August 10 to 11, Ladakh, Jammu, Gilgit, Baltistan, Jammu-Kashmir, and Muzaffarabad are likely to receive it on August 10 and 11.

Heavy rainfall alert for Western and Central India
The Met Department has issued a warning that there is a possibility of heavy downpours in Goa, West Madhya Pradesh, and Konkan on August 9. Madhya Maharashtra and East Madhya Pradesh will receive it from August 9 to August 10.

Southern region, Northeast and Eastern India to get intense rainfall
The southern part of India is anticipated to get heavy precipitation at isolated locations in Mahe and Kerala from August 10 to August 13. Additionally, Karaikal, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry will get heavy rainfall on August 11 and August 12. Rainfall of heavy intensity is projected in isolated areas of Arunachal Pradesh on August 9. Isolated heavy showers are likely to occur over Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal from August 9 to August 10.
Likewise, Meghalaya and Assam will get it from August 9 to August 13. Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Bihar, and Arunachal Pradesh will receive it from August 9 to August 14. Odisha will have it on August 9 and August 13 whereas Gangetic West Bengal will also deal with the same weather conditions on August 10 and August 13.
