Up to 8.15% Return on 399-Days FD: How Much Return Will You Get From Union Bank Fixed Deposits?

Union Bank FD Rates 2024: Union Bank of India, one of the leading public sector financial institutions, has recently revised its interest rates on fixed deposits. As per the official notification, the updated rates will be effective from August 2.

Union Bank FD Rates: Interest For 333-Day Deposits

On 333-day tenure, regular citizens are offered a significant interest of 7.4%. Meanwhile, senior citizens are eligible to extra 50 basis points, i.e., 7.9% for the same tenure, while super senior citizens are authorized 75 more basis points, i.e., 8.15% annually on the FD of the same tenure.

Interest Rates For 399-Days FDs

Also, for the tenure of 399 days, an interest rate of 7.25% per annum is offered to regular citizens. An interest rate of 7.75% is provided to senior citizens and 8% to super senior citizens manually.

Latest Union Bank FD Rates

Moreover, the FD rates for 181-332 days tenure offer an interest rate of 6.35%, and 5% interest is offered annually for 121-180 days tenure.

For the time span of 3 years, 6.7% interest is offered to regular citizens, while senior citizens are given 7.2% and super citizens are given 7.45%.

Furthermore, the bank offers 6.6% to regular citizens, 7.1% to senior citizens, and 7.35% to super senior citizens for the period between 998 days to less than 3 years (except 999 days when interest is 6.4%).

General investors can avail an interest rate of 6.5% for the term of 3 to 10 years. These rates were effective from August 2, 2024.

What Other Major Banks Are Offering?

At the same time, several other banks offer a higher interest rate on an FD of special tenure. For example, the interest rate offered by Bank of Baroda on a 399-day tenure is 7.25%. The interest rate offered by Punjab National Bank on the tenure of 400 days is 7.25%. The highest rate offered by HDFC Bank on a tenure of 55 months is 7.4%.
