The registration was to be done between August 5 to August 10. Now, the last date has been extended to August 16.
The government of Uttar Pradesh will be providing free electricity to farmers with a private tubewell connection. As per the reports, the registration has started in the Gautam Budh Nagar district.

Farmers with a tubewell connection will be provided free electricity for 12 hours, according to the information given. The registration for the same has commenced in camps set up in around 18 villages in the district of Gautam Budh Nagar. Earlier, it was to be done between August 5 to August 10, now the last date has been extended to August 16.
As per the reports of the Times Of India website, Praveen Kumar Singh, an executive engineer from the Noida power department, stated, “These camps are being organised at various villages that are connected to the 33/11 kV substations at Kot, Luharli and NTPC road, Dadri.”
On Tuesday, the camps will be set in areas like Nai Basti, Phaloda and Jarcha. While in places like Datawali, Sainthali and Khatana, the camps will be held on Wednesday. On August 8, these are being set up in Beel, Akbarpur, Chapauls and Naroli. The next day on August 9, Ramgarh, Nangla, Chamru and Bisahara will set up camps. And on August 10, it will be set up in Bodaki, Chhinsa and Patadi.
Praveen Singh added further, “The camps are being organised to benefit private tubewell consumers. Also, the general public is appealed to deposit their outstanding electricity bills and ensure maximum registration for the free electricity scheme for private tubewell consumers at these camps.” According to Harish Bansal, the chief zonal engineer at Noida power department, the Gautam Budh Nagar’s urban areas are being provided 24-hour electricity supply, while the rural areas are given 18 hours.
Furthermore, according to a July 30 directive by Dr Ashish Goyal, the UPPCL chairman, the officials must ensure 24-hour power supply in the urban regions, 18 hours in the rural areas and 9.5 hours at the level of Tehsil. The discoms are asked to follow the same orders.
