HSBC Bank Launches Live+ Credit Card With 10% Cashback On Food Expenses

Credit cards have emerged rapidly in the cashback segment, ranging from 1 per cent to 25 per cent on different spending categories. Leading credit card issuers in India like HDFC Bank, SBI Card, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank and Standard Chartered Bank offer several cards, each catering to unique individual needs like fuel, online shopping, dining, movies, groceries or a mix. Recently, HSBC Bank has introduced the HSBC Live+ Credit Card in the cashback segment with 10 per cent cashback in the food category.

Features

Customers will be given a cashback of Rs 1,000 on downloading the HSBC India Mobile App and spending Rs 20,000 within 30 days of issuance of the HSBC Live+ credit card.

When you apply for the card online complete your application with video self-verification. It will be followed by an Amazon gift voucher worth Rs 250.

The USP of the HSBC Live+ Credit Card is 10 per cent cashback on expenses in the food category. 10 per cent cashback is applicable on dining, food delivery and grocery expenses. You can get a maximum cashback of Rs 1,000 in one billing cycle. The bank has a Live+ Dining Programme under which Live+ Credit Card holders can get up to 15 per cent discount on dining at a particular restaurant in India and some other Asian countries

You can earn 1.5 per cent cashback on spending through this card in other categories. There is no limit on cashback in this case. The cardholder gets 4 complimentary domestic airport lounge access annually. No cashback will be given on expenses made on rent payments, wallet load, fuel etc.

Card Charges

The joining fee for HSBC Live+ Credit Card Charges is Rs 999. The annual fee of this card is Rs 999. However, the annual fee is waived if you spend Rs 2 lakh yearly.

Some co-branded credit cards offer more cashback on spending on the partner’s platform and less cashback on other categories. Whereas, other general cashback credit cards offer a specified percentage of the transaction amount as cashback in most categories.
