Travelling From Delhi To Gurugram Amid Waterlogging? Check Traffic Advisory, Route Diversions

Traffic Advisory: Vehicular movement is affected in the carriageway from Nangloi towards Tikri Border and vice versa due to severe waterlogging and potholes. Commuters are advised to avoid the Mundka area and seek alternative routes.

Traffic Advisory: Some parts of Delhi experienced rainfall on Friday morning which led to waterlogging in several places. Because of heavy rains, waterlogging and flood-like situation was also witnessed in several places in Gurugram. If you are travelling from Delhi to Gurugram for office work or any other personal work, it is advisable to check the traffic advisory, route diversions and make your plan accordingly.

The development comes as Delhi witnessed intense rainfall on Wednesday evening, with over 100 millimeters of rain recorded in just one hour. This rainfall led to significant waterlogging across various parts of the city, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a ‘red’ warning.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Check Route Diversions

  • Vehicular movement is affected in the carriageway from Nangloi towards Tikri Border and vice versa due to severe waterlogging and potholes. Commuters are advised to avoid the Mundka area and seek alternative routes.
  • Delhi Police updated traffic diversions on Ram Bagh Road and Azad Market. Traffic diversions were implemented at the Zakhira Underpass and Ch. Fateh Singh Marg, with the Delhi Traffic Police advising drivers to follow traffic advisories.
  • Traffic jams were reported in the carriageway from Andheria Mor towards Gurugram due to the breakdown of a heavy transport vehicle.

Gurugram Traffic Advisory: Check Details

  • Traffic jams were witnessed in several places including Bilaspur Chowk after heavy waterlogging. Gurugram Traffic Police said commuters need to plan their travel accordingly.
  • Traffic police said NH-48 is affected by heavy waterlogging at GGR/Parade Road in the carriageway from Dhaula Kuan towards Gurugram. Commuters need to adjust their routes to avoid delays.
