August month is the month of monsoon. According to Hindu Panchang, Sawan month will end on August 19, 2024. This month is one of the most auspicious and sacred month as Shravan month is dedicated to worship Lord Shiva and many prominent festivals will occur in this month. This sacred month of August is full of fast and festivals. Many important festivals are going to be observed and celebrated in this month. Pradosh Vrat will be observed on the first day of this month then Sawan Shivratri will be celebrated across the country on August 2, 2024. On 4th August Shravana Amavasya will also be observed and this Amavasya is special as Hariyali Amavasya is also going to be observed. Third Shravana Somwar fast will also be observed. Hariyali Teej, Nag Pachami and Kalki Jayanti will also be observed.
One of the major festivals are going to be celebrated in this auspicious month such as Rakshabandhan, this is the day dedicated to brothers and sisters. Krishna Janmashtami will also be celebrated. On 19th August, Shravana Month will end and as per Hindu Panchang, Bhadrapada Month will also begin.
