Air fare can increase now, as Jet fuel price have been hiked by government effective August 1 2024.

Jet fuel, or ATF price, on Thursday was hiked 2 per cent and the rate of commercial LPG used by hotels and restaurants by Rs 6.5 per 19-kg cylinder in the monthly revision was done as per international oil price trends.
After last month’s hike, this is the second straight monthly increase in jet fuel rates. On July 1, ATF prices were hiked by 1.2 per cent (Rs 1,179.37 per kl). The increase was followed by a steep 6.5 per cent (Rs 6,673.87 per kl) reduction effected on June 1.

ATF Price Hike City Wise Details
Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price was hiked Rs 1,827.34 per kilolitre, or 1.9 per cent, to Rs 97,975.72 per kl in Delhi, according to a price notification of state-owned fuel retailers.
As per the revision jet fuel prices for domestic airlines will cost ₹97,975.72/kl in Delhi.
The ATF rate in Mumbai was increased to Rs 91,650.34 per kl on Thursday from Rs 89,908.31 previously.
The government increased jet fuel (ATF) Price to ₹1,00,520.88/kl in Kolkata and ₹1,01,632.08/kl in Chennai.
The aviation fuel prices for domestic airlines on international flights will now cost $ 891.80/kl in Delhi, $ 930.50/kl in Kolkata, $ 891.06/kl in Mumbai and $ 886.64/kl in Chennai.

These Prices change from state to state and it depends on the incidence of local taxes.
