Delhi Metro is making it easier for the users to commute. Popular instant messaging app — WhatsApp has announced the new metro card recharge feature for Delhi Metro commuters across Delhi NCR region.
How to recharge metro card using WhatsApp
Using the same ticketing and chatbot services commuters can also access the metro card recharge service in both English and Hindi by sending ‘Hi’ to +91 9650855800 or by scanning the QR code. Follow the below mentioned steps to recharge the metro pass:

- Save the Delhi Metro WhatsApp number: Save +91-8624888568 as a contact on your phone.
- Start a chat: Open WhatsApp and start a chat with the saved number.
- Initiate recharge: Send a “Hi” message to the chatbot.
- Follow instructions: The chatbot will guide you through the recharge process.
- Enter details: You will be asked to enter your metro card number and the recharge amount.
- Choose payment method: Select your preferred payment option, such as UPI, debit card, or credit card.
- Complete payment: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.
Users on android and iOS can also find quick access to the chat bot by tapping on the payments section on their WhatsApp. Powered by PeLocal, DMRC’s WhatsApp-based ticketing service is available across all lines in the Delhi National Capital Region, including Gurugram Rapid Metro.
For those unaware, last year, WhatsApp introduced a QR ticketing system for all DMRC routes, including the Gurugram rapid metro. The chatbot service offers passengers immediate information and support, including train schedules, fare details, and station information.
