The India Meteorological Department in its latest weather bulletin has predicted that active monsoon conditions are expected to cover most parts of northwest India in the next couple of days. Moreover, rainfall activity is expected to increase its intensity in East India from July 30. The IMD has also issued an orange alert for East Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch.
IMD Forecast for Heavy Rainfall
It has also been notified by the Met Department, that there will be very heavy rainfall in Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa from July 29 to August 1. Gujarat is expected to experience it today. Heavy rainfall will occur at the isolated places over Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh on July 29 and August 1, the Gujarat region will get it from July 30 to July 31, and Chhattisgarh will likely get it from July 30 to August 1. Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa will experience it from July 29 to July 31. Hefty downpours are forecast for Uttarakhand on July 31 and August 1. East Rajasthan will receive it from July 29 and West Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh will get it on July 31 and August 1.
Heavy Rainfall Warning for Northwest India
The Weather Department has also mentioned in its report that there might be isolated heavy showers over Delhi, Haryana, and Chandigarh from July 29 to July 31. Himachal Pradesh will experience a similar weather pattern from July 29 to July 30 and on August 1. Meanwhile, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh are likely to get it from July 29 to August 1. East Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh are projected to get it from July 30 to August 1. West Rajasthan will get it on July 29, and West Uttar Pradesh from July 30 to August 1.

Monsoon activity forecast for Southern, East & Northeast India
Extremely heavy rainfall has also been predicted by the IMD in Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Manipur from July 30 to August 1, Jharkhand may get at isolated places on July 31. The Southern regions of India like Kerala, Mahe will get heavy rainfall from July 29 to July 31, South Interior Karnataka will receive it on July 28 and Coastal Karnataka will experience it on July 29. On the other hand, isolated heavy rainfall has been predicted for Tripura, Nagaland, and Manipur on July 29, Meghalaya and Assam will get it from July 29 to August 1. Likewise, Sikkim and West Bengal will get it from July 30 to August 1. Odisha is anticipated to have it from July 29 to August 1 and Andaman& Nicobar Islands will get it on July 29 and August 1.
