Children will be able to access the app store and relish a few age-appropriate applications installed directly from Apple’s app store on their Apple Watch along with some parental control for added safety. Apple Watch for kids will also feature some location tracking options. Parents can simply keep track of their children’s location via the Find People application and get customizable location alerts. The new watch for kids from Apple will feature a dedicated mode that will restrict distraction during school hours, limiting access to apps and supporting DO Not Disturb mode.

Parents will have the option to set up an Apple Watch for their kids with their own iPhone handsets and a distinct cellular plan for the watch. Apple Watch for kids will provide kids with their own Apple ID, helping them to use features such as reminders, calendars, and photo albums synced from their parents’ iPhone handsets.
Parents will be able to access full control over particular contacts their kids will be able to connect with. Parents will be able to manage app installations on Apple Watch for kids and set restrictions via Content Restrictions and Ask to Buy options. Parents will be able to see their children’s health and activity information via the health application of their iPhones with permission. Apple Watch for Kids is accessible in India on Apple Watch SE and cellular models of Apple Watch Series 4 or above. For the initial setup procedure, a compatible iPhone handset such as an iPhone 6s or above is needed.
