Union Budget 2024: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday presented the Budget for 2024-25. This was her 7th straight presentation surpassing the record of former prime minister Morarji Desai. The Union Budget for 2024-25 will provide Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment and skilling in the country. Moreover, the government will provide financial support for loans up to Rs 10 lakhs for higher education in domestic institutions.

Working Women Hostels to promote the participation of women in the workforce
While presenting the Budget in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government will set up working women hostels to promote the participation of women in the workforce. “We will facilitate higher participation of women in workforce by setting up of working women hostels in collaboration with industries and establishment of creches in addition the partnership will seek to organise women specific skilling programmes and promotion of market access for women SHG enterprises,” she added.
