UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024: The Union Public Service Commission has announced the UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024 name list. The Commission declared the Civil Services result on July 1, 2024; however, the name list was released on Friday(July 19). The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 was held on June 16. The selected candidates have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024. IAS aspirants who have appeared for the examination can access the UPSC CSE Prelims Result Name List at upsc.gov.in and https://upsconline.nic.in/.

“In continuation of the Press Note dated 01/07/2024 declaring the Roll number Wise Result of the Civil Services(Preliminary) Examination, 2024 held on 16/06/2024, the Name and Roll number result of the Candidates who have qualified for admission to the Civil Services(Main) Examination, 2024 is as under,” the Commission in an official notice said.

UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 Result: How to Check Civil Services Prelims Name List?
- Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission at upsc.gov.in and https://upsconline.nic.in/.
- On the homepage, go to the What’s New section.
- Click on the link that reads, “ Written Result (with name): Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024.”
- A new webpage will open on the screen.
- Your UPSC Prelims 2024 Name List will appear on the screen.

The UPSC Civil Services Name List includes details such as the candidate’s roll number and name. The Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024 will be conducted from September 20. The Civil Services (Main) Examination will consist of a Written Examination and an Interview/Personality Test. The Written Examination will consist of 9 papers of conventional essay type in the subjects set out in sub-section (B) of Section-II out of which two papers will be of qualifying in nature.
Marks obtained for all the compulsory papers (Paper-I to Paper-VII) and Marks obtained in Interview/Personality Test will be counted for ranking. Candidates who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in the written part of the Civil Services (Main) Examination as may be fixed by the Commission at their discretion, shall be summoned by them for an Interview/Personality Test, vide sub-section (C) of Section-II. The number of candidates to be summoned for Interview/Personality Test will be about twice of the number of vacancies to be filled.
