July 21, Sunday will be observed as Guru Purnima. The day will start at 5.57 a.m. on July 21 and end at 7:09 p.m. on the same day. In contrast, the Purnima Tithi timings are set for July 20 at 6 p.m. and July 21 at 3:47 p.m.

Why do we Celebrate Guru Purnima 2024

Guru Purnima is primarily a day to acknowledge the role of gurus or teachers in one’s life. They are revered as those who dispel darkness and lead their disciples towards enlightenment. Guru Purnima 2024: Rituals

Devotees chant puja to honour the Maha Guru and seek his blessings. Devotional songs and hymns are recited all day.
