WhatsApp Introduces ‘Favorites’ Tab To Simplify Connections With Your Favorite People

WhatsApp has been working on integrating a variety of features to make users’ daily chats easier. In its most recent blog post, the Meta-owned instant messaging company revealed that it is launching a new Favourites feature to enable users to reach out to their favourites.

According to the blog post, the new Favourites feature will make it easier for users to reach their key connections and groups. With this feature, users will be able to pin their favourite persons or groups to the top of their call tabs and use them as a filter in their conversations. This new version attempts to help users prioritise group chats or best pals in chats and calls.

How To Add Contacts Or Groups To Your Favourite:

1. Choose your contacts or groups by clicking on the “favourites” filter from the conversations screen.

2. Choose your contacts or groups by tapping the “Add favourite” button on the calls tab.

3. Alternatively, you may manage your “favourites” by heading to Settings > Favourites > Add to Favourites. You can then rearrange them whenever you’d like.

WhatsApp’s new Favourite feature has already started rolling out to select users from today. It will be available for everyone in the coming weeks, the app maker confirmed. The feature will enhance the overall experience by offering quick access to individuals and groups.

Meanwhile, the platform will soon allow users to translate chat messages into their favourite language. According to WaBetaInfo, the capability was discovered in the Android beta version. The feature is presently in development and may be released in the following weeks. With this functionality, users will be able to translate chats without having to download or use any third-party translation tools.
