Indian 2 FIRST Review Out: Kamal Haasan Film Disappoints; S Shankar ‘Missed the Mark’

Indian 2 first review are out and they are not going to make Kamal Haasan fans happy.

Indian 2 First Review: Kamal Haasan’s highly-anticipated film, Indian 2 has finally released and it has not impressed fans. With the first-day first-show playing out in the US and in India, several fans took to X and confessed director S Shankar has ‘missed the mark’ with Indian 2. For the unversed, Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster film, Indian.

A social media user with the handle ‘@CKReview1’ took to X and shared his review. “A Highly Outdated Flick. Grand Visuals, no Creativity, Poor Makeup, Worst dialogues. Kamal scores in few Scenes. Sid ok. BGM ok. SJ Surya No scope. Cringe Scenes throughout. Climax Fight Seq btr. Shankar Disappoints. A Wasted Oppurtunity. DULL!”

Another reviewer wrote, “It’s just an average to below average movie. There is no story it is just like a set up to Indian3. Yes Indian3 trailer was played after the rolling titles and Indian3 seems pretty interesting and I think Indian3 would be worth waiting. Coming to Indian2 surprisingly movie has no strong story unlike Bhratayeedu.” He also listed the pros and cons of the film.

A sequel to the 1996 film Indian, Indian 2 is one of its biggest projects by Shankar with a reported budget of Rs 150 crores. Apart from Kamal, the movie will feature Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Jason Lambert, Gulshan Grover, Bobby Simha and others in prominent roles. The film is produced by Red Giant Movies and Lyca Productions and Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in for music. Shankar has also used CGI and body doubles to bring departed actors Vivek and Nedumudi Venu to life on the big screen.

The film will also be followed by Indian 3.
