GATE Exam 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Roorkee will release the GATE exam 2025 date anytime soon. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities. The registration process for the examination will begin soon at https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/. As per the media reports, GATE Registration is likely to begin in August 2024.

GATE 2025 will have a total of 30 test papers comprising full papers and sectional papers. Candidates have the option to appear for one or two test papers from the allowed two paper combinations. The GATE score obtained by the candidates will remain valid for a period of THREE years from the date of announcement of results. The Institute has not released the GATE information bulletin.

GATE Registration 2025 Likely to Begin in August: Documents Required to Fill IIT GATE Applications
- High quality image of candidate’s photograph conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.
- High quality image of candidate’s signature conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.
- Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of PwD Certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of valid photo Identity document: Aadhar-UID (preferable)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License.
- The photo ID must have Name, Date of birth of the candidate and unique photo ID number. This photo ID must be carried in original to the examination hall for verification.

Each candidate should fill ONLY ONE application. If they wish to appear in second paper (from the two-paper combination), they can add respective paper in their original application. In case of Multiple applications, only one will be accepted and remaining applications will be rejected without any refund for the paid fee.
Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025.
