Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Russia, marking his first official trip to the nation in nearly five years. The visit also marks his first since the Ukraine war broke out in February 2022. After landing in Moscow last evening, Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov received him at the airport. The visit garnered significant attention on social media with visuals of the grand welcome he received. Among these visuals, a particular footage capturing a heartwarming moment has surfaced online where a little Russian girl could be seen performing bhangra in front of Red Square in Moscow.
The video shows a young girl enthusiastically joining a group of Russian women who are performing a spirited bhangra at the Red Square in Moscow. Dressed in traditional Indian attire featuring a yellow and red coloured ghagra choli with a dupatta, the little girl delights with her adorable bhangra performance to the lively beats of the dhol.
The viral clip was shared by news agency ANI on X along with the caption, “#WATCH | Moscow, Russia | A young Russian girl, dressed in Indian attire, joins others in performing Bhangra.”
The heartwarming footage has racked up over 1.3 lakh views. The comment section buzzed with a variety of reactions with many users calling the little girl’s performance as “cute.”

PM Modi will attend and co-chair the 22nd India-Russia annual summit alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. During his interaction on Monday, Putin lauded the Prime Minister saying he has devoted his whole life for public service and is doing good for India. The Russian president also extended his congratulations on PM Modi’s re-election.
“You have great energy and you are doing good for India. I congratulate you on your re-election for the third time. This is because of your work. You have devoted your whole life for public service,” the Russian President told PM Modi during a ‘private engagement’.
