Starting July 3, mobile bills are set to get expensing for users of Airtel, Jio, or Vi networks. These private players are likely to hike their monthly, quarterly, and annual recharge plans by up to 25 per cent. However, the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) continues to offer the most affordable tariff plans across the country.
These plans from BSNL will apply to both existing users and those planning to port out from their existing network. Note that these plans will be applicable across India, except for the North East, Jammu and Kashmir, and Assam. Additionally, the BSNL network is limited to a 4G network, and coverage can be patchy compared to private players.
Some plans offer higher validity with data and calling benefits limited to a select period. Users must opt for additional top-up plans to get data and calling benefits.
