WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a new “Events” feature for group chats for iOS users, which will allow users to create and manage events directly within their group chats.
According to WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the feature will be available through the recent WhatsApp for iOS 24.13.72 update, which can be downloaded from the App Store.
Although the official changelog does not mention it, WhatsApp confirmed the rollout via their X (formerly Twitter) handle.

What is the Events feature?
“Through this feature, users can create activities for their group chats including details such as the name, description, date, optional location, and whether a voice or video call is needed,” WABetaInfo said in its report.
Once created, all group members can view and accept invitations, with the event creator having the ability to update details as necessary. Crucially, events remain end-to-end encrypted, ensuring privacy for all participants.
