Indian Railways Latest Update: Good news for passengers! Indian Railways has extended the existing timetable of trains till December-end. The move comes as the Railway Board (RB) is reviewing the timings and running status of trains. The RB wants to make it more efficient hence the release date of the new timetable has been extended to January 1, 2025. The existing timetable will remain valid till December 31, 2024.
Usually, the railways release ‘Trains At A Glance’ (TAG) – the working timetable of trains before June 30. The new timetable becomes effective from July 1. However, this year, the norms have been changed.
In a release, the national transporter said, “Railways have decided to introduce the new “Trains at a glance” railway timetable with effect from 1.1.2025 instead of 1.10.2024. The present “Trains at a glance” railway timetable will be valid up to 31.12.2024. Passengers are requested to please note.”
