PM Narendra Modi Dials Team India, Congratulates Men In Blue On T20 World Cup Triumph

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday dialed the members of Team India after their magnificent win against South Africa in T20 World Cup finals. The Prime Minister congratulated the team members for their splendid performances.  According to the reports, PM Modi, during the conversations, praised Rohit Sharma for his splendid captaincy and his valuable contributions in his T20I career.

PM Modi had a special mention for Virat Kohli, who scored a valuable 76, and his immense contributions to Indian cricket. He also thanked Rahul Dravid, who stepped down as the head coach following India’s win, for his contributions to Indian cricket.

Modi praised Hardik Pandya for his final over and Suryakumar Yadav for his splendid catch on the boundary line to dismiss David Miller. He also talked highly of Jaspreet Bumrah’s contribution, the officials added.

Indian Cricket Team Won Hearts of Crores of People: PM Modi

Hailing the Indian cricket team as champions after the T20 World Cup win, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday the cricketers have won the hearts of crores of people.

He said on X, “CHAMPIONS! Our team brings the T20 World Cup home in STYLE! We are proud of the Indian Cricket Team.”

He described the thriller in which India repulsed a determined South African team as historic.

Over 140 crore Indians are feeling proud of the cricketers’ performance, he said, adding that they won the cup in the field and hearts of crores of Indians in villages and streets.

Noting that India did not lose a single match, the prime minister said it is not a small achievement in a tournament where so many countries participated.
