After Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea (Vi), one of India’s leading telecom operators, has announced a substantial increase in tariffs across its prepaid and postpaid plans. The price hike ranges from 11-24 precent and will come into effect starting from July 4, 2024. Jio and Airtel will roll out their increased mobile service rates a day earlier, i.e., from July 3.
“In line with its commitment to provide its consumers with simple and comprehensive plans, Vi has curated an optimum range of feature-rich plans to meet the diverse needs of its consumers,” Vi said in a statement, adding that “staying true to its philosophy of supporting entry-level users and progressively linking higher prices to increased usage, changes in entry level plans are nominal.”
Vodafone Idea plans to enhance its existing 4G services as well as roll-out 5G for its subscribers through significant investments over the next few quarters, the telecom operator reiterated.

Unlimited Voice Calling Plans
1. 28 Days Validity: The plan priced at Rs 179, offering 2GB of data, unlimited calling, and 300 SMS, has been revised to Rs 199.
2. 84 Days Validity: The plan that was Rs 459, providing 6GB of data, unlimited calling, and 300 SMS, is now Rs 509.
3. 365 Days Validity: The annual plan, previously priced at Rs 1799, offering 24GB of data, unlimited calling, and 300 SMS, has been increased to Rs 1999.
Daily Data Plans
1. 1GB/day for 28 Days: Previously priced at Rs 269, now revised to Rs 299. Benefits include unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
2. 1.5GB/day for 28 Days: The plan price has been increased from Rs 299 to Rs 349, offering unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
3. 2GB/day for 28 Days: Revised from Rs 319 to Rs 379, with unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
4. 1.5GB/day for 56 Days: The price is now Rs 579, up from Rs 479. It includes unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
5. 2GB/day for 56 Days: Increased from Rs 539 to Rs 649, offering unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
6. 1.5GB/day for 84 Days: The plan, previously priced at Rs 719, is now Rs 859, providing unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
7. 2GB/day for 84 Days: Revised from Rs 839 to Rs 979, with unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
8. 1.5GB/day for 365 Days: Increased from Rs 2899 to Rs 3499, offering unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
