Try This DIY Egg White Face Mask To Improve Your Skin

Egg whites contain protein and collagen, which can be helpful in skin tightening and firming. Using an egg mask is a great way to help reduce sagging skin and keep it tight. Egg whites are also rich in protein, zinc and omega-3 fatty acids, which have many benefits for hair and the face. Essentially it reduces the laxity of the skin and keeps it tight. An egg mask that reduces sagging and tightens the skin. Here is a DIY face mask to tighten the saggy skin and get healthy and glowing skin at home.

Ingredients:

1 egg white

1 tablespoon lemon juice (for oily skin)

1 tablespoon honey (for extra moisture)

Instructions:

  • Separate the egg whites: Crack the egg and separate the white from the yolk. Take the egg whites in a small bowl. The egg yolk can be kept for another use or thrown away.
  • Add lemon juice or honey: If you have oily skin, add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to the egg white. Lemon juice helps control excess oil. If you have dry skin or need more moisture, add 1 teaspoon of honey to the egg white. Honey is a naturally humectant, which helps in keeping the skin moisturised. After this, use a spoon to mix the mixture well with the egg.
  • Cleanse your face: Before applying the mask, make sure your face is clean and free of makeup. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and wipe your face using a dry towel.
  • Use the mask: Apply this egg mask on your face using clean fingers or a brush. Avoid using this mask on the eye and mouth area. Apply this on the face for 15-20 minutes. Once the mask is completely dry, wash your face gently with warm water.
  • Use moisturiser: After washing off the mask, pat your face with a dry towel and apply your favourite moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated.

Notes:

Use this face mask once or twice a week for best results. If you suspect an allergy, always do a patch test before using the mask on your entire face.
