The viral footage showed an overcrowded sleeper coach of Shramjeevi SF Express from Delhi to Bihar.
Travelling by train has become increasingly frustrating, of late, as we keep witnessing viral videos showing packed train coaches with ticketless passengers. Adding to the same list of videos is recent viral footage of an overcrowded sleeper coach of Shramjeevi SF Express from Delhi to Bihar.
The viral clip, captured by a passenger on the train, reveals a cramped scene within the sleeper coach. The video shows two to three passengers squeezed onto a single seat while numerous other commuters are seen standing in the narrow aisle.
In his post on X, Vicky Kumar tagged Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and other Indian Railways assistance handles to share the video. The accompanying caption read, “I know this is early morning and no railway officer will provide resolution as they are sleeping. Train no. 12392 thousands of local passengers (passengers) ride on the train in sleeper class. Kindly take action or keep sleeping.”

Following the post, the official Railway Seva handle commented on the video, requesting the user to share the details.
Since being shared online, the video has garnered significant attention, attracting numerous views and reactions from social media users.
In the comment section, one user sharing their perspective wrote, “Early morning? When we travel in a sleeping coach, it’s normal that people enter sleeping coaches early morning, and will be travelling to nearby stops. Most would have woken up and those who were sleeping continued. I never thought, one day it would be propaganda.”

Another user offered a set of solutions, suggesting, “Don’t allow ticket-less passengers Install CCTV in coaches to see if TC/RPF are doing their duty properly or not #Indianrailways ..adopt the model of flight & you will see happy users Not your prob. if people can travel or not..but if they want to travel they should have a ticket.”
Last week, chaos erupted at the Chennai Central Station when a Howrah-bound train was flooded with unauthorised travellers. Passengers were left stranded at the station as it became extremely difficult for them to board the train. Reports suggested that not only were reserved berths occupied but the walkways were also blocked with the luggage.
Another video went viral last month showing a man and a woman trying to board an overcrowded train in motion. In the footage, the man assists the woman in boarding first, pushing her inside as they hold onto the stairs for support. He then jumps onto the lower steps himself and rearranges his luggage to make some space. They attempted this daring feat from the side of the train opposite the platform disregarding safety in their urgency to board the train.
