WhatsApp is expanding its AI chatbot-powered metro ticket booking facility to Nagpur giving commuters a more convenient way to book their metro tickets from anywhere in advance. With this new service, Nagpur Metro joins the ranks of metro systems in Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune, which have already adopted WhatsApp for ticket booking and purchasing.

The service is available in four languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, and Telugu. To access it, commuters simply need to send ‘Hi’ to +91 8624888568 or scan the provided QR code. This easy-to-use chatbot facilitates ticket booking, provides real-time updates, and offers essential travel information directly through the WhatsApp interface.
One of the standout features of this system is the Quick Purchase option, designed for frequent riders. This feature streamlines the booking process by saving commonly used routes, reducing the time needed to select destinations and starting points.

The WhatsApp-based ticketing system allows users to purchase up to six single journey tickets or group tickets for up to 40 commuters per transaction. Payments can be made within the chat window using preferred methods such as UPI, debit cards, or credit cards.
The integration of WhatsApp into state transport services has been gaining momentum over the past few months, providing a simplified and user-friendly transit experience for commuters. This development marks a significant step towards modernising public transportation in Nagpur, making it more accessible and convenient for daily commuters.
