New Rupay airport lounge access program applies to the Rupay Platinum and Select Debit card holders.
The lounge access program for the Punjab National Bank (PNB) Rupay Platinum Debit card versions has been updated. According to the bank’s official website, the new rules will be effective from July 1.
The PNB notification reads, “Dear Customers, Kindly be informed that w.e.f 1s t July 2024, the lounge access program for all variants of Rupay Platinum Debit Card has been revised as under –
1 (One) Domestic Airport / Railway lounge access per quarter.
b. 2 (Two) International airport lounge access per annum.
The updated list of lounges is available at – https://www.rupay.co.in/lounges Warm Regards, Punjab National Bank.”
As per the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the new Rupay airport lounge access program applies to the Rupay Platinum and Select Debit card holders.
Domestic travellers holding any of these cards can gain access to two complimentary visits at any of the lounges per quarter. International travellers can get access to two visits per year at the participating lounges.
To access the Airport Lounge and authorise the card, the cardholder must deposit a fee of Rs 2.

Terms and Conditions for the Rupay Card Airport Lounge Program, as per NPCI are mentioned below:
Only two free accesses per cardholder every calendar quarter will be granted, with a maximum of eight airport lounge accesses per year. Unutilised access expires at the end of the quarter and cannot be carried over to the next quarter.
If any Cardholder uses the airport lounge more than twice, he/she will be charged according to the lounge’s regular access charges.
For verification, a payment of Rs. 2 will be taken on the card and charged to the cardholder’s account. The authorization amount cannot be refunded.
Access to the Airport lounge will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Cardholders are advised to check out the services and facilities covered by the RuPay airport lounge access program at the lounge.
NPCI reserves the right to modify, update, change or cancel the program at any moment and without prior notice.
Only the cardholder is eligible for complimentary access.
Complimentary access cannot be transferred or encashed.
