UGC NET 2024 Exam On June 18; Check Last-Minute Preparation Tips, Dress Code, Do’s And Don’t

UGC NET June 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test on June 18, 2024. Candidates are advised to download the UGC NET June 2024 Admit Card at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/. The examination will be held for (i) ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, (ii) ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’, and (iii) ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ in 83 subjects in OMR (Pen and Paper).

UGC NET 2024 Exam: Check Last-Minute Preparation Tips

  • Mock Tests Are Important: You can significantly improve your speed and precision by practicing with mock tests under simulated exam conditions. This can also help you recognize your weak points and bolster your confidence.
  • Maintain Your Cool and Confidence: Keep exam tension at bay by staying cool and keeping up a positive outlook. Deep breathing techniques or meditation can be instrumental in calming your mind. Have faith in your preparatory work and your abilities and take on the exam confidently.
  • Don’t Ignore Healthy Practices: Make sure you get enough sleep, eat a good meal, and keep yourself hydrated. A well-rested brain tends to perform better, so looking after your health in the days before the exam is of utmost importance.
  • Dress Code: Respecting the assigned dress code maintains the sanctity of the examination process. Flinging the dress code guidelines to the wind may invite disciplinary measures.
  • It is mandatory to have your essential documents like your admit card and a valid photo ID on hand. Failure to present them could mean forfeiting your exam.

UGC NET 2024 Exam: Check Dress Code, Do’s And Don’t

  1. Shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are NOT permitted.
  2. Candidates are advised to verify the location of the test venue a day in advance so that they do not face any problem on the day of the test.
  3. If religion/customs require you to wear specific attire, please visit the Centre early for thorough checking and mandatory frisking.
  4. No Candidate would be allowed to enter the Examination Centre, without Admit Card and undertaking, Valid ID Proof, and proper frisking. Frisking through Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD) will be carried out without physical touch.
  5. Candidates will be permitted to carry only the following items with them into the examination venue: a. Personal transparent water bottle, b. Admit Card downloaded from NTA website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in. c. Additional 02 passport size photograph for pasting on the Attendance Sheet. d. Original valid ID proof.
