Eid is here and I am sure everyone wants to look their best. Do you know that hair is important in completing the overall look? You may look unprepared if you are dolled up in your best outfit, but your hair is messy, frizzy and unmanageable. Hair care is as important as your skincare, so here we greet you with some unbelievable hair care and styling tips to rock the Eid party.
Pre-Eid Hair Care Routine
1. Deep Conditioning
You can start preparing your hair right at the moment for the Eid celebrations. Start with deep conditioning treatment at home with honey and coconut oil. Combining honey, coconut oil, and aloe vera can provide a powerhouse of nutrients and benefits for your hair.
How to make a DIY Deep Conditioner:
Take 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and mix the ingredients. Wet your hair and then apply this thick hair mask thoroughly. Leave it for 45 minutes and wash it with herbal shampoo. This helps to hydrate and nourish your hair, making it more manageable and shiny.

2. Hair Mask
The hair mask is a fantastic way to nourish and revitalize your hair with natural ingredients. Use of hair masks can make your hair softer, smoother, and more manageable.
a) Mix 2 tablespoons of coconut milk, 1 tablespoon of honey, and olive oil until well blended. Now, apply the mixture to damp hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and herbal shampoo. These ingredients will lock in moisture, control frizz and hydrate the hair.
b) If you are looking for glossy shine then make a mix of honey, almond oil and vitamin-e capsule. Apply this mask to your hair and leave it for 30-25 minutes. Rinse with herbal shampoo and let your hair air dry.
3. Trim your split ends
With over-styling and using heat styling tools the protective outer layer of the hair cuticle wears away, leaves the hair-splitting. This issue can make hair look frizzy, dry, and unhealthy. Trim hair every 6-8 weeks to remove split ends and prevent further damage. Apply leave-in conditioners or serums to keep hair hydrated and limit the use of heat-styling tools.

4. Manage Frizz in a DIY style
Is your hair frizzy and unmanageable? It is quite challenging to manage frizz, but with the right DIY treatments and techniques, you can keep your hair smooth and frizz-free. Dilute apple cider vinegar with water in a spray bottle. After washing your hair, spray the mixture onto your hair, focusing on the ends. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse with cool water. You can also mix aloe vera gel and argan oil and apply a little amount of it on the hair. This lightweight and non-greasy combination helps tame frizz and adds moisture to the hair.
5. Night Hair Care Routine
Gently brush your hair with a wide-tooth comb before going to bed as this helps to detangle your hair. Use a silk pillowcase because this will reduce friction which can cause breakage and frizz. If your hair is dry or damaged, apply a leave-in conditioner before bedtime to moisturize your strands.
Additional Tips for Healthy Hair
- Limit the use of heat styling tools. When you do use them, always apply a heat protectant spray.
- Always use a wide-tooth comb to detangle hair. Never comb wet hair and avoid tight hairstyles that pull on your scalp.
- Incorporate regular hair treatments like oiling and masking to keep your hair healthy, manageable, and strong.
