In Modi 3.0, Amit Shah, Jaishankar, Sitharaman, Rajnath Singh Retain Their Ministries | Check Full List

On Sunday, 71 ministers took oath as part of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Modi retained 34 ministers from his outgoing council of ministers, including 19 with Cabinet berths

A day after taking oath at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a message of continuity by retaining his top ministers on Monday as he allocated portfolios for his third term in office.

The four major ministries within the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) retained their incumbents, with Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S. Jaishankar holding onto the key portfolios of Home, Defence, Finance, and External Affairs respectively.

Former chief minister of Karnataka and member of ally JD(S) HD Kumaraswamy was allotted a ministry. He will have Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a chief minister himself, as a colleague in the cabinet as the Madhya Pradesh veteran has been given the charge of agriculture and rural development ministries. Party chief JP Nadda made a comeback and has been assigned to the health ministry.
