Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after assuming office for the third consecutive term, as the first official act authorised the release of the 17th installment of PM Kisan Nidhi. Approving the 17th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, he said: “Ours is a Government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come.”

Lakhs of eligible beneficiaries of Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) are waiting for the 17th installment of the flagship scheme, several important paper-works must be completed by them. One such important formality for getting the benefits of PM-KISAN scheme is completing the KYC process.
Farmers who are eligible for the scheme can apply online for the 17th installment (How To Apply PM Kisan Yojana), know how-
Step 1:To apply for PM Kisan Yojana, visit ‘Farmer Corner’ on the official website pmkisan.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on ‘New Farmer Registration’, enter Aadhaar number and fill the captcha.
Step 3: Enter the required information and click on ‘Yes’

Step 4: Complete the PM-Kisan application form 2023, save the information and also take a printout of it.

2. OTP Based e-KYC will be displayed
3. Enter your valid 12-digit Aadhaar number in the box mentioned
4. Click on ‘Search’ button
5. Enter your Aadhaar-registered mobile number
6. Click ‘Get OTP’ button
7. Enter the OTP that you have recieved on your registered mobile number
8. Enter ‘Submit’ to complete the e-KYC process
As per media reports, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana 17th installment can be expected in June or July, though no official announcement has been made by the government.

Who All Are Eligible For Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, it is necessary for any small or marginal farmer to follow all the instructions of the government.
- Those who are not eligible for PS Kisan Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) include –
- Professionals like doctors, engineers, CAs cannot avail the benefits of this scheme.
- If a senior citizen gets a pension of more than Rs 10,000, or is a retired employee from a government job, then he also cannot avail the benefit of this scheme.
- Those whose bank account is not linked with Aadhar card will also not get its installment.
- If the farmers associated with PM Kisan do not get e-KYC done, then they will not get the next installment because e-KYC is necessary.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme, was launched by PM Narendra Modi in 2019, aims to provide income support to all landholder farmer families across the country with cultivable land, subject to certain exclusions. Under the Scheme, the amount of Rs 6000 per year is released in three monthly instalments of Rs 2000 each directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
