About Amrit Bharat Express
The Amrit Bharat Express, which is classified as an LHB non-AC train, has a maximum permissible speed (MPS) of 130 km/h. However, the speed of the Amrit Bharat Trains is achievable only if the route sections meet the 130 km/h fitness criteria, which means that the trains would not be running with the MPS in normal day-to-day hours. Given that many Indian railway tracks currently do not meet the MPS standards, the Amrit Bharat train will mostly operate at a lower MPS, ranging from 100 to 110 km/h on various parts of the route.
