In a recent London conference, Oppo confirmed that they will soon be launching the Reno 12 series and Find X series flagship smartphone soon. While the company stated that the Reno 12 series would be released later this month, there was no timeline disclosed for the Find X series. At the same stage, Oppo also announced that it will bring Generative AI features to its smartphones by the end of this year, 2024.
Oppo Reno 12 series global launch
After the launch in China in May, reports suggest that the Reno 12 series will be available globally later this month, June. In China, the Reno 12 and Reno 12 pro were released with Dimensity 8250 and Dimensity 9200+ chipsets, respectively. But it is unclear whether the same phones will be released in global markets.
The company showcased the teaser image above during the event. While the company did not reveal anything else about the Reno 12 series, the image suggests that the global market may receive a standard variant and a Pro model. The expectations are such that Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro might feature 6.7-inch 120Hz with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Both the devices are expected to feature 5,000mAH batteries with 80W SuerVOOC charging support. The camera specs for both have also been speculated. The Reno 12 is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and the Pro version has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor. The handsets also have 50-megapixel telephoto cameras with up to 20x digital zoom and 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooters alongside 50-megapixel front cameras.
The phones come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. They ship with Android 14-based ColorOS 14.
The vanilla Oppo Reno 12 price in China starts at CNY 2,699, which translates to roughly Rs 31,000 for the 12GB + 256GB option, while the Reno 12 Pro is priced at CNY 3,399, roughly Rs. 39,000, for a similar configuration.

Oppo Find X series
Oppo announced that its Find X series will return to the global markets after a brief gap. The last flagship of the series which was made available on the global market was Oppo Find X5.
This year, Oppo released Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra exclusively in China. Now the rumour has it that these devices will make it to the global market soon with a special Find X7 Ultra Satellite edition.
Oppo AI developments
Oppo has also stated that all its smartphones will be equipped with AI by the end of this year. To this extent, the company also teamed up with giants like Microsoft, Google, and MediaTek for generative AI or GenAI features. The aim of Oppo is to bring advanced AI capabilities to improve user experiences. The brand’s focus would be on image processing, smart charging and natural language processing.
