National Commission for Women chief Rekha Sharma on Thursday said strict action should be taken against the woman CISF constable who slapped Kangana. The constable has been suspended and an FIR registered against her, officials informed news agency PTI. Kangana was allegedly hit when she was on her way to Delhi. NCW chairperson Sharma said it is a serious matter as the people who are responsible for security at the airport are breaching it.
“Strict action should be taken against the lady CISF personnel. We at @NCWIndia have taken up this matter with @CISFHQrs,” Sharma said in a post on X.
In a video later, Kangana said, “First of all, I am safe, I am perfectly fine… As soon as I came out after the security check, a woman in another cabin, a CISF security staff, she waited for me to cross her and hit my face from the side. She started abusing me. When I asked her why, she said that she supports the farmers’ protest. I am safe but my concern is how we handle the terrorism and extremism that is increasing in Punjab.”
