Asian Paints dividend: Asian Paints is poised to declare its final dividend — the highest in over a decade—next week. The record date for the final dividend, with a face value of Rs. 1, is also scheduled for next week.
The record date is when a company reviews its records to identify shareholders. To be eligible for a dividend payout, an investor must be listed on that date. The payment date is when the company mails out the dividend to all holders of record.

Asian Paints dividend announcement
Earlier in May, the board of directors recommended a final dividend of Rs. 28.15 per equity share for the year ended on March 31, 2024.
In an exchange filing, the company stated that “The board of directors recommended payment of final dividend of Rs. 28.15 (Rupees twenty-eight and paise fifteen only) per equity share of the face value of Re. 1 (Rupee one) each for the financial year ended 31March 2024, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing 78th Annual General Meeting of the Company.”

Asian Paints dividend history
This is the highest dividend in 10 years, after the company paid a final dividend of Rs 36.5 per equity share in 2013. Previously, Asian Paints have paid final dividend of Rs 21.25, 15.5, Rs 14.5, and Rs 1.5 per equity share in 2023, 2022, and 2021 respectively.

As on June 6, at current market price of Rs 2,910 per share, the dividend yield of Asian Paints was 1.14%.

Asian Paints dividend record date
Asian Paints in an exchange filing has stated that, “The Company has fixed Tuesday, 11 th June 2024 as the Record Date for determining the entitlement of members to the final dividend for the financial year ended 31 st March 2024.”
“The dividend, if approved by the shareholders will be paid on or after Thursday, 27th June 2024,” Asian Paints stated.
