Bengaluru Water Cut Announced On THESE Days

As mentioned earlier, a water cut for June 6 and June 7, 2024 has been announced by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BSWWB). The main cause for the water cut is the Board’s work on the Cauvery Stage V Project; for this very reason, the board will close all of its pumping stations on June 6 and a warning about the same has already been given to the residents of the affected areas.

Bengaluru Water Shortage: Timings, List Of Affected Areas

The Bengaluru Water Cut was initially announced for June 4 and June 5 but due to unforeseen circumstances, the shutdown of the supply units of Cauvery River were rescheduled by the engineers. According to the board, the water supply units of Cauvery Stage 1, 2 and 3 will remain suspended (offline) for a duration of 12 hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and the fourth stage first and second phases’ water supply units will remain offline for four hours from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This disruption for two days in all areas under the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BSWWB).

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BSWWB) has urged the residents of affected areas to cooperate with them and has also advised them to store adequate water for both days. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board has also requested the citizens in the affected areas, to use the water judiciously.
