Applicants for a Learning Driving License (Temporary DL) won’t need to visit the District Transport Office (DTO). A new system has been put in place to allow them to take the driving test from the comfort of their homes. This move aims to save time and eliminate the need for middlemen in the process. To avail this facility, applicants need to link their Aadhaar card on the Parivahan website. After this, they can pay the fee online and take the driving test on their computer.

The Transport Department ensures a user-friendly experience for taking online tests on the portal. At each step, applicants will receive guidance and information about the next procedure. Before the test, applicants will have to see a tutorial video about traffic rules. This video provides basic information about the test and includes details about various road signs, speed limits and other important aspects of driving. During the test, applicants must answer questions within the allotted time. Questions may include identifying road signs, understanding their meanings, knowing the speed limits for different areas and more.
