LPG Cylinder Price, Aadhaar Card Update, Driving License: New Rules Changing From June 1 – Check Full List

New Rules From June 1: Starting from Aadhaar Card Update to Driving License, you will witness a change in rules from June 1, 2024. Customers across the country are getting ready for a wave of rule changes coming into effect from next month. The changes in the rules will be related to new driving licence rules, Aadhaar card updates, PAN-Aadhaar linking, LPG cylinder prices, and bank holidays in June 2024.

New Driving Licence Rules

Getting a driver’s licence will get easier from June 1, 2024. The new guidelines will allow Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) to conduct driving tests at private training schools. This move will streamline the process and improve efficiency.

In this regard, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways recently brought about new regulations for obtaining a driving license in India. Learners from next month will be able to take driving tests at private driving training centres instead of government RTOs and these centres will be authorized to conduct tests and issue certifications for license eligibility.

The new guidelines will reduce the pollution by phasing out approximately 900,000 old government vehicles and enforcing stricter car emission regulations.

Aadhaar Card Update

Users now can update their Aadhaar card till June 14 and can simply update their Aadhaar card online. If they choose to do it offline, Rs 50 per update will be charged for the purpose.

PAN-Aadhaar Linking From June 1

General customers must note that May 31 is the last date to link your PAN-Aadhaar and in this regard, the Income Tax Department has issued a reminder and asked all to upgrade their PAN card with Aadhaar Crad latest by May 31, 2024. In a notification on X, the I-T department said the customers who fail to do so within the stipulated time will face a higher rate of tax deduction at source (TDS).

LPG Cylinder Price

For the domestic or commercial purpose, the LPG cylinder prices will be updated on June 1 as it happens on the first day of every month. Last month, the oil marketing companies slashed the prices of commercial cylinders, and it is expected that they may lower cylinder prices again in June. Additionally, as with every day, changes in petrol and diesel prices are expected on June 1.
