Honor 200 confirmed to launch in India after making its debut in China: Check price, specifications

Honor recently launched its latest smartphone series, the Honor 200, in China. The series consisted of the vanilla Honor 200 and the Honor 200 Pro. Shortly after the launch, the brand confirmed that the Honor 200 series would be coming to India as well. Even though the company didn’t reveal more details, it is safe to assume that we can at least expect the Honor 200 to launch in India soon.

Honor 200 series coming to India soon: Expected specs and features

While the India launch for the Honor 200 series is yet to happen, we can get an idea of the phone’s specifications and features based on the variant launched in China.

As per the Chinese launch, the vanilla Honor 200 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 2664 x 1200 pixels, and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. In the front, there is a 50-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The device is fuelled by a 5,200mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging and runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, and various eye protection certifications.

The Honor 200 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a slightly larger 6.78-inch Full HD+ OLED display, offering a resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels and similar peak brightness and dimming features. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with Adreno 735 GPU, promising enhanced performance for demanding applications. The device supports up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The camera setup is similar to the vanilla variant, with the addition of a 3D depth camera. The front camera also includes a 50-megapixel sensor with 3D depth capabilities. The Honor 200 Pro is equipped with a 5,200mAh battery that supports both 100W fast charging and 66W wireless charging. It runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 and features an enhanced heat dissipation system, along with similar connectivity and certification features as the standard model.

Honor 200 series coming to India soon: Expected price

While specific launch dates for India are yet to be announced, the Honor 200 series is expected to hit the market soon. The pricing is anticipated to be competitive, closely aligning with the Chinese market rates. 

In China, the price of Honor 200 starts at 2,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 31,000) for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant, while the top-end model with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, is priced at 3,199 Yuan (approximately Rs 37,000).

The price of the Honor 200 Pro begins at 3,499 Yuan (around Rs 40,000) for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant, with the highest configuration featuring 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage costing 4,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 51,000).
