Honor Magic 6 Pro to launch in India soon: Here are 5 reasons to look forward to the release

After releasing the Honor Magic 6 series in China, India might witness the launch of Honor Magic 6 Pro soon. The rumour has it that the flagship will hit the Indian market in July. While the leaks are making rounds, the CEO of HTech, sellers of Honor phone in India, Madhav Sheth has also teased the arrival of the smartphone.

CEO Seth also posted on X (formerly Twitter) hinting at the launch of the foldable phone. He posted images of both Honor Magic 6 Ultimate and Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR giving hints about their release in the country. He also recently hinted at the imminent arrival of an Honor Magic V2 foldable phone in India. Let’s have a look at what Honor Magic 6 Pro offers.

Honor Magic 6 Pro: 5 reasons to look forward

Chipset: The Honor Magic 6 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, supported with up to 1TB of storage and up to 16GB of RAM. This device is already available in Europe and expected to launch a similar variant in India. The device is expected to run Android 14-based Honor MagicOS 8 out-of-the-box.

Display and design: The European variant is just 8.9mm thick with a 6.8-inch display that supports Full HD resolution and a 120Hz display. The display might also be covered by a NanoCrystal Shield.

Honor claims that this shield is 10 times stronger when dropped compared to what was used previously. The Magic 6 Pro also has silicone nitride coating on the glass that is expected to make the screen more scratch resistant.

Camera: The device is expected to have a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 180MP periscope unit that supports up to 2.5x zoom. The device might also be supported with a 50MP front-facing camera.

Battery: The device is rumoured to be powered by a 5,600mAh battery. The battery backup supports 80W fast wired charging and 66W wireless charging, according to the rumours and leaks.

AI-powered features: The Honor Magic 6 Pro has already been released in China, Barcelona and Spain. The launch showcased an experimental eye-tracking AI function that enables users to remotely open and move their car just by looking at their smartphone display.

The tool is already available in China and the company is working to integrate the feature commercially overseas.

As per the leaks, the flagship will soon enter the Indian market. But the company has said nothing about the release yet.
