Salman Khan is all set to kickstart shoot for AR. Murugadoss’s Sikandar later this year.
Although there won’t be a Salman Khan film for Eid 2024, fans can still celebrate the announcement of his upcoming movie, Sikandar. This thrilling action film, directed by AR Murugadoss, is set to start filming in June 2024, following the start of pre-production last week. Initially planned for a May start, the project’s kickoff has been delayed, increasing excitement for its forthcoming release.

As per sources close to Pinkvilla, filming for Sikandar is set to begin in June. Additionally, it has been revealed that production will take place across three distinct locations: Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Europe. Specific details regarding the exact scheduling and locations remain tightly guarded. According to Mid-day, director AR Murugadoss plans to prioritize filming the majority of the action sequences.
While the action directors are currently fine-tuning these scenes, Salman Khan has already started his preparations. Reports indicate that he’s focusing on enhancing his agility and movement abilities. A source disclosed to the news portal, “Salman insists on performing his own stunts. He has modified his workout regimen to develop a chiselled physique.”
During the recent Eid celebrations, Salman Khan revealed his upcoming film with AR Murugadoss, titled ‘Sikandar,’ which is slated for release on Eid 2025. He made the announcement via Instagram, sharing a title slate with the caption, “Iss Eid Bade Miyan Chote Miyan aur Maidaan ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo…. Wish u all Eid Mubarak!”
Murugadoss is currently managing several projects, including an action film featuring Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan, tentatively titled SK23. To ensure a smooth transition to working on Sikandar, he plans to complete a significant portion of SK23 in advance. This strategy is designed to allow him to concentrate fully on Salman Khan’s upcoming project.

Sikandar represents AR Murugadoss’s highly anticipated return to Hindi cinema after an eight-year hiatus following Akira (2016). This film also reunites Salman Khan with producer Sajid Nadiadwala, a duo known for their blockbuster successes such as Kick, Judwaa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
