Vande Bharat metro: Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, is set to receive a significant boost in its transportation infrastructure with the upcoming introduction of three Vande Bharat Metro trains. These trains, initiated by the Railway Ministry, are aimed at enhancing connectivity for passengers traveling up to 200 km from Bhopal. According to local reports, in the initial phase, the Vande Bharat Metro trains will operate from Bhopal to Betul, Sagar, and Shajapur.

The first train is scheduled to run from Bhopal to Betul via Hoshangabad-Itarsi, while the second train will connect Bhopal to Sagar via Bina, and the third train will travel to Shajapur via Sehore.

Reports suggest that the detailed schedule for the Vande Bharat Metro trains is expected to be released by the end of June, with a potential commencement date in July. These trains are projected to operate at an average speed of 120 kilometers per hour, significantly reducing travel time for passengers.

Fares and Features
Passengers can anticipate fares comparable to or slightly higher than sleeper class tickets, with a fare structure that aims to be affordable and accessible. Unlike traditional AC trains, the Vande Bharat Metro trains will feature sleeper coaches, offering a comfortable and economical travel option. Each train is expected to consist of 8 to 10 coaches, ensuring ample seating capacity for commuters.

Presently, Madhya Pradesh operates four Vande Bharat trains connecting various key destinations within the state. The introduction of three additional Vande Bharat Metro trains signifies a concerted effort to enhance rail connectivity and improve transportation efficiency across the region.

Trails of short distance Vande Bharat trains and sleeper class to begin soon
Indian Railways is set to embark on a new journey with the trial run of short distance Vande Metro trains scheduled for July. Additionally, the sleeper version of Vande Bharat will make its debut next month, covering routes exceeding 1,000 km. The Vande Metro trains, designed for distances ranging from 100-250 kms, will establish connections between approximately 124 cities.
Key routes include Lucknow-Kanpur, Agra-Mathura, Delhi-Rewari, Bhubaneswar-Balasore, and Tirupati-Chennai.
Enhancing connectivity, these AC trains will operate on existing railway tracks, focusing on facilitating travel between major urban hubs and satellite towns.
Notably, the Vande Metro and Vande Bharat Sleeper trains aim to accommodate a larger number of passengers in the unreserved category, catering to diverse passenger needs efficiently.
