Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been hospitalised. The actor was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad on Wednesday after suffering from a heat stroke, police said. SRK, who was in Ahmedabad for his IPL team Kolkata Knight Rider’s (KKR) Qualifier 1 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), is doing fine now and there’s nothing to worry, a source close to the actor informed News18 Showsha.
SRK’s wife and interior designer Gauri Khan was clicked arriving at KD hospital, shortly after the news of the actor’s hospitalisation emerged on the internet. Actress Juhi Chawla, who is a close friend of SRK and is also the co-owner of KKR, paid a visit to the actor along with her husband Jay Mehta.

Needless to say, the news of SRK’s hospitalisation has left his fans worried. Several users took to their respective X (formerly known as Twitter) handles to express concern for their favourite actor. “OMG, I hope he is fine,” one of the fans wrote. “Get well soon our king,” added another.
Shah Rukh Khan attended KKR’s IPL match at the Narendra Modi stadium on Tuesday night. The superstar was on cloud nine after KKR won the play-offs to qualify for the IPL 2024 finals.
After the big win in the IPL, the actor celebrated by taking a victory lap with his daughter Suhana and youngest son AbRam. During the lap, he struck his signature arms-outstretched pose for thousands of fans at the stadium and also hugged his team players and planted kisses on their cheeks. That apart, SRK, known for his encouraging demeanour, also uplifted the Sunrisers Hyderabad players, chatting with them after the match.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. Next, he will soon begin shooting for King. The film is being produced by Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and is also likely to star SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan. Recently, it was revealed that Shah Rukh will be playing a Don in his film. Much like his OG Don role, he will have shades of grey in King.
Shah Rukh Khan is likely to begin shooting for King later this year. Recently, the actor was speaking for Knight Club’s King Khan Rules on Star Sports when he shared insights on his return to the shooting schedule for the year. Shah Rukh mentioned that last year, he had three movie releases (Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki), which kept him constantly engaged. Considering the physical demands of his roles, he opted to take a break and focus on his IPL cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
