Vande Metro: Indian Railways is the largest rail network in Asia and the world’s second-largest under one management. The premier transport organization of the country caters to millions of passengers daily. The railways stand as one of the most trustworthy and affordable modes of transportation in India. Continuously upgrading its trains and railway platforms for the convenience of its passengers, Railways will soon introduce the Vande Metro train with panoramic windows and upgraded lavatories. The much-anticipated Vande Metro train is under development and will debut soon, as confirmed by officials from the Perambur Integral Coach Factory (ICF). According to ICF officials, trial runs of the Vande Metro train will start shortly, with service likely to begin by the beginning of July. Reports indicate that the inaugural Vande Metro journey will be from Chennai to Tirupati.

Vande Metro: Number Of Coaches And Speed
The Vande Metro will have as many as 12 coaches. It also combines elements of the AC Mainline Electrical Multiple Unit (MEMU) and the Vande Bharat Express. The metro will operate at speeds ranging from 110 to 130 kilometres per hour.

• The train will have air-conditioned compartments with automatic sliding doors for convenience.
• Connecting corridors will allow passengers to move easily between compartments.
• Each compartment can seat 100 passengers comfortably and accommodate an additional 200 standing passengers.
• The design of the compartments aims to enhance the overall journey experience.
• Passengers will have the option to sit or stand based on their preference.

• Amenities include panoramic windows, mobile charging points, route indicator displays.
• CCTV cameras, emergency talkback units, and upgraded lavatories.
