Motorolas strikes again. After delivering a massive hit with the Moto Edge 50 Pro, Motorola just pulled a two-on-two with the Moto Edge 50 Fusion. This new phone is just bonkers. The Moto Edge 50 Fusion has an IP68 design, 144Hz curved pOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with up to 12GB of RAM, Android 14, and a large 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. It also packs a 50-megapixel main camera capable of 4K video recording. Motorola hasn’t missed out on other novelties like stereo speakers and NFC either. All this and the Moto Edge 50 Fusion still starts at Rs 22,999 (Rs 20,999 with bank offers). That’s crazy.

Motorola says it will offer Rs 2,000 instant bank discount on transactions made using ICICI Bank credit cards and credit card EMI. Or, you can exchange your old phone and get a bonus of Rs 2,000 though this is only available on Flipkart. General availability is pegged for May 22, 2024 (12PM) across Flipkart, Motorola online and leading retail stores including Reliance Digital.

The Moto Edge 50 Fusion has a 6.67-inch 1080p pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel can top 1,600 nits (1,200 nits in high brightness mode) and has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powering the Moto Edge 50 Fusion is a Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chip and a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. Running the show is Motorola’s new Hello UI with Android 14 at the base. The phone is eligible for three major OS and four years of security updates. For photography, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion has a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700C primary sensor (f/1.8 OIS) and another 13-megapixel ultrawide. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The phone is available in a choice of finishes— Marshmallow Blue vegan leather finish, Hot Pink in vegan suede finish and Forest Blue in PMMA. It is IP68-rated.
