Bank holiday on May 20: Are banks open or closed on May 20? Private and public sector banks will remain closed in a few cities on Monday, May 20 because of Lok Sabha Phase 5 polls.

Bank Holiday on Monday, Bank Holidays in May 2024, Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 5: Are banks open or closed on May 20? Private and public sector banks will remain closed  in a few cities on Monday, May 20 on account of Lok Sabha Phase 5 polls, according to the Reserve Bank of India‘s holiday calendar 2024.

Are banks open or closed on May 20? 

The bank will remain closed in Belapur and Mumbai. Therefore, banks are up for a long weekend here, since banks will be closed on May 18 (Saturday), May 19 (Sunday), and May 20 (Monday).

Lok Sabha Elections 2024

In the fifth phase, voting will be held on 14 Lok Sabha seats including Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Raebareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambhi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj, and Gonda.

  • Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act
  • Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday
  • Banks’ Closing of Accounts
