Chardham Yatra Offline Registration: The Chardham Yatra set to commence on May 10 in Uttarakhand is now available for offline registration, starting from Wednesday, May 8, in Rishikesh and Haridwar. Pilgrims can register in person at the Rishikesh Transit Camp, which will be open from 5 am to 10 pm.
In preparation for the pilgrimage, passenger facilities have been finalised at the transit camp near Rishikesh ISBT. The camp now features eight registration counters to facilitate a smooth registration process. Additionally, spacious grand hanger tents have been set up for the pilgrims to offer a comfortable accommodation

Chardham yatra 2024: Help Desk Services
The help desk and health check-up services have commenced operations since Tuesday. The help desk, staffed by employees from various departments, aims to address any passenger-related issues and queries.

A well-equipped medical center has been established with adequate medicines and equipment available to ensure the well-being of the pilgrims. A total of 180 doctors will be posted in rotation at hospitals along the pilgrimage route. Additionally, the assistance of doctors from the private sector will also be sought.
Various dignitaries, including Dr. Jyoti Rawat and Nirmal Tiwari, were present during the inaugural day with groups of devotees from Rajasthan and several other states have been arriving at the transit camp by bus.

Chardham yatra 2024:Health Check-ups mandatory For Devotees Above 50 Years
The Health Department has made health check-ups mandatory for all devotees above 50 years of age participating in the Chardham Yatra this year. Although no one will be restricted from proceeding, they will be advised to rest or seek proper treatment if necessary. Devotees have also been requested to provide their health-related details during registration to ensure appropriate medical attention if required.
To facilitate the convenience of pilgrims, the Health Department has set up 50 screening centers along the Yatra route. These centers are conveniently located alongside the registration centers and will conduct examinations on various parameters, including high blood pressure and diabetes.
Furthermore, the Health Department has reached out to other states, appealing for the participation of doctors who are willing to provide their services along the Chardham Yatra route.
Chardham yatra 2024:Health ATMs
Health ATMs will be installed at 50 locations statewide. The government has directed the Chief Medical Officers and Chief Medical Superintendents of all districts to ensure the proper functioning of these health ATMs. These ATMs will measure blood pressure, sugar levels, weight, height, body temperature, and oxygen levels. The technical staff serving at the health ATMs has also received training.
Guidelines For Chardham Yatra Pilgrims
The Health Department has issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for pilgrims arriving from all over the country. It is advised that devotees plan their Chardham Yatra for a minimum of seven days.
While trekking to Kedarnath and Yamunotri Dham, take regular breaks of 5 to 10 minutes every one to two hours.
Pack warm clothes, a raincoat for protection from rain, an umbrella, a pulse oximeter, and a thermometer for health check-ups.
If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, or diabetes, ensure you carry necessary medications and have your doctor’s contact information with you.
In case you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, or vomiting during your journey, seek first aid at the nearest primary health center or health relief center.
